The price always varies, and it varies for concrete reasons: the capacity the room needs in BTU, the model and brand of the unit, whether it is a single split for one room or a multi-split for several, the metres of pipework between indoor and outdoor units, and how hard the outdoor unit's location is to reach. That is why the visit and the quote are free of charge and the figure comes after seeing the space: only then is there an honest number.
No. The visit to see the space is free of charge, and so is the quote that comes out of it. We come to the site, take the measurements and the price goes down in writing. It is arranged by phone: call or WhatsApp 915 100 172.
As a starting point, allow around 130 W per square metre, about 440 BTU, in a standard room with a 2.5 m ceiling, and add 100 W per person: a 12 m² bedroom comes to 9,000 BTU and a 25 m² living room to 12,000 BTU. Increase this for west- or south-facing rooms, large glazed areas or top-floor spaces.
Yes. In premises open to the public, restaurants, shops, offices and industry, we do ventilation and bring fresh air in, and you notice it as soon as you walk in. At home, what weighs most on air quality is maintenance: clean filters hold the dust and give you cleaner air; dirty ones stop holding it and make the machine work harder for the same cooling.
In a building held in horizontal property, the façade and the load-bearing walls are common parts (article 1421 of the Civil Code). Fixing the outdoor unit there, or drilling through it to run the piping, means touching a common part, and that needs a resolution of the owners' meeting.
At home, one service a year is enough. In commercial premises, with the unit running every day, the interval is shorter. Anyone working on the refrigerant circuit has to be a certified technician. That is article 9 of Decree-Law no. 145/2017 and it applies to any unit, and our team holds fluorinated greenhouse gas certification.
