So we first find where it is getting out and seal that point. Only then do we fill it, otherwise the money goes out through the same hole the last lot went through.

How we work.

Measuring and finding the leak
We go to the site, put the gauges on and see what the circuit is holding. Then we look for where it is getting out: a joint, the pipework or a valve.

Repairing the leak
Once the point it was escaping from is sealed, the refrigerant stays where it belongs. Without that, any new charge empties out again.

Vacuum and recharge
The air and the moisture are drawn out of the circuit and the right amount goes in, weighed on the scales, the amount printed on the unit's plate.

Questions we are often asked.
Because it is leaking. Refrigerant is not consumed by use. If the level has dropped, there is a way out somewhere. Filling it without dealing with that buys a few weeks and then you are back where you started.
It is enough to cool again for a while. But the refrigerant escapes through the same place and you will pay for the recharge all over again. That is why we look for the leak first.
It depends on the refrigerant the unit takes, on the quantity and on what the leak requires. We tell you the price after seeing it, and before touching anything.
No. R22 has been banned in the European Union since 2015, even recycled, and there is no legal way to top it up. In those cases the answer is to replace the unit, and we tell you so straight instead of going round in circles.
No. Anyone working on the refrigerant circuit has to be a certified technician. That is article 9, paragraph 1 of Decree-Law no. 145/2017, and it applies to any unit, at home or in commercial premises. Our team holds fluorinated greenhouse gas certification.
