Privacy, in plain language.

This notice explains what data we use when you speak to Clima or send a request, why we use it and how to exercise your rights.

Data we process

We may process your name, phone number or email address, the content of your request and your conversation with Clima. Please send only the data needed for us to reply.

Purpose and legal basis

We use the data to answer questions, prepare and manage contact or quote requests, and protect the service against misuse.

For quote requests, processing is necessary to take pre-contractual steps at your request. Where contact does not constitute a pre-contractual step, replying and protecting the service rely on our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us and keeping the service secure, without prejudice to your rights.

We also retain a copy of the Clima conversation to correct inaccurate answers and improve the assistant, based on our legitimate interest in maintaining a reliable service. Contact details are automatically removed before storage: email addresses, phone numbers and other long numbers are deleted, as is the name when supplied in response to the assistant.

Technical providers

We use technical service providers that may process data to the extent necessary to operate the service:

  • OpenAI, to generate Clima’s answers and, where needed, transcribe voice messages;
  • Groq e ElevenLabs, to transcribe voice messages;
  • Vercel, to host the site and run its server functions;
  • Upstash, to store the conversation copy described above;
  • Resend, to send request notifications to the team.

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer must rely on a mechanism permitted by applicable law, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

We retain data for as long as needed to reply, manage the request and comply with applicable legal obligations. The exact period depends on the nature of the request and its follow-up.

The conversation copy used to improve the assistant is automatically deleted after 30 days, and no more than the 500 most recent conversations are retained.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data and object to processing where applicable. To exercise these rights, contact the controller by 915 100 172 or by message on WhatsApp.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).

Automated answers and estimates

Clima generates automated answers and may provide indicative thermal estimates. These answers and estimates are not binding decisions and do not replace an on-site technical assessment.
